US Theatre

The DCA theatre department is comprised of students who perform and who work behind the scenes. We are an ensemble department, meaning that we work together for the good of the department and various performances rather than for our own personal gain.  We are committed to using our God-given talents in performing theatre with excellence. 

Students in theatre study various elements of theatre including technical theatre: lights, sound, costume and set design; performance: acting and directing for both plays and musicals; and academic elements: play analysis, characterization, acting theory, theatre history.  We also attend state festival for theatre and take festival trips to further our skills and audition for scholarships.
