Cross Country Participates in Green Hill Invitational

On Saturday the cross country teams participated in the 2nd Annual Green Hill Invitational held at the historic Hermitage.  On the high school side, the boys were led by Drew Johnson (3rd place) and Carson Lloyd.  Both Johnson and Lloyd were seconds away from opening the season with career best times despite a wet, sloppy course.  The girls had a strong showing, and were led by Allie Bledsoe (7th) and Kennedy Biddle (11th).  Several Varsity runners posted very fantastic times for the first races of their careers, including Coy Whittington, Bobby Beierling, Camden Palk, Wes Twining, and 8th grader Ellie Biddle, among others.

The middle school girls were led by 7th grader Kennedi Bowers who finished 16th.  The middle school boys proved to be the highlight of the day, earning a 2nd place finish in a very competitive field of 12 teams from across Wilson, Sumner, and Davidson counties.  Eighth graders Wes Bledsoe (8th place), Canon Lett (10th), and London Tucker (16th) posted fantastic times to anchor the team score.  Brycen Hamilton, Dane Price, Avery Wilson, and 6th grader Max Frazier rounded out the top 7 finishers.

In all, over 40 Wildcat runners took to the course and represented the school well on Saturday.  Way to go, Cats!
