Middle School

Brian Case
Head of Upper and Middle School

My desire, as secondary principal, is to help provide a nurturing environment where curiosity, adaptability, and service educates the mind, body, and soul of each student, so they may continually grow and develop as followers of Christ.  May every student learn and rest in the knowledge that they are fearfully and wonderfully made in the image of God and celebrate that we are all different, yet all knitted together in our mother’s womb by an awesome God for a distinct purpose. May the students grow in their curiosity of the world’s mysteries and continue to inquire through the learning process long after graduation. Second, I hope that students grow and develop spiritually, mentally, physically, and socially as they adjust to fluid circumstances at home, in our community, and within our nation. Success in any educational arena (academics, arts,  and athletics) is not measured in how a student begins the year but how one adapts to finish well.  There is no growth in a comfort zone and no comfort in a growth zone, so I pray that students become fearless, not dwelling on possible mistakes, but focusing on bringing God glory during times of setbacks and success. Lastly, I look forward to serving alongside DCA’s exceptional secondary faculty, supporting students to be excellent in their pursuits while partnering with parents as we teach in truth, serving each other in kindness and generosity of spirit.
