Biblical Worldview

Our mission is to serve Christ by assisting parents in providing students with a challenging, college preparatory education taught from a nondenominational biblical worldview that develops the whole person into a Christlike leader in the home, church, and community.

Teach in Truth is a phrase that describes the educational process at the Academy.  We believe that absolute truth exists and it can be found in the person and work of Jesus Christ as well as Scripture.  We believe in the role of Scripture as described in II Timothy 3:16-17, “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work”.

The expression “All Truth is God’s Truth” also represents part of the educational philosophy of the school.  Students are encouraged to seek after truth, and to ask probing questions as they engage ideas in the classroom.   It is an environment created by passionate educators who care deeply about developing the whole person in each of their students.

The Christian Studies department and the weekly chapel services also share the goals of helping students fully comprehend and live out a biblical worldview in their own lives.  Students are challenged to develop a deeper faith and to live out the biblical admonition to love others as themselves.

At the Academy, a biblical worldview is integrated into all aspects of the educational experience.  We believe that a person’s faith is inextricably woven into all aspects of their life, including intellectual pursuits.  In today’s world, the wall representing the separation of faith and learning is growing ever higher.  At DCA, this wall has never existed in an effort to help students understand the relevance of their faith in all aspects of their life.
