Accreditation

AdvancED (Cognia) is the umbrella organization for the Southern Association of Colleges Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS CASI).  AdvancED accredits more than 36,000 public and private schools in all 50 states as well as 70 schools in other countries.

Schools seeking to gain or retain accreditation must meet AdvancED's high standards, demonstrating high levels of student performance and providing evidence of stakeholder satisfaction with the school.

As part of the AdvancED mandate, schools must undergo a rigorous accreditation review every five years.  Donelson Christian Academy successfully earned its re-accreditation in January 2019.
