2019 Christmas Tree Auction

We are again blessed to announce the donation of 3 trees that will be electronically auctioned off starting today, Friday, November 22 (beginning at 6:00 p.m.) through  Tuesday, December 10th (ending at 12:00 a.m., midnight).  Pictures of the trees are below, but to get the full concept of these beautiful trees you will want to come on campus to see them in the high school gymnasium lobby.

 There will be several opportunities to see the trees during the following events:

  • Tuesday, November 26, 4:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m., Pack the House for Jimmy and Jon Basketball Games
  • December 2 – 6, Basketball games during the week (see schedule on website)
  • Thursday, December 5, 6:30 p.m., the Elementary Christmas Program, 
  • Monday, December 10, 6:30 p.m., the Christmas Choir Concert, 
  • Tuesday, December 10, 7:00 p.m., the Christmas Band Concert 

The following are the names and descriptions of each tree:

“Gingerbread Wishes and Peppermint Kisses”

This is a pre-lit 4.5 foot evergreen tree with pine cones, exploding with the most adorable gingerbread boys and girls, peppermint candies, and precious glass ornaments. This tree would be perfect for a kitchen or even a media room! Red and black plaid base included plus several extra surprises!

“Farmhouse Christmas”

This is a gorgeous pre-lit, 9 foot flocked tree full of farmhouse chic ornaments. The perfect mixture of casual and elegance, this tree is a show stopper and completely on trend. Gorgeous cream colored tree skirt and presents included to complete the look. Straight out of a Hallmark movie!

“Santa is coming!”

A beautiful pre-lit, 7.5 foot evergreen with a whimsical Santa design complete with hat, boots and belt. Tree comes with red and black plaid tree skirt and tin bucket base for you to choose from.  Tree comes with a hidden surprise as well!

Each tree will be gifted to the highest bidder.  This year the proceeds from the auction will contribute towards new theatre lighting in the gymnasium.  We are in the early stages of fundraising for this project and the auction proceeds will be helpful.  The new lights will eventually be used for all productions in the gymnasium and will help add greater flexibility and creativity for the performances.

In order to bid on an item, you will need to first create a free “32Auctions” account. The starting bid for each tree is listed on the site and increases in $25 increments. The bidding will close at midnight on December 10th. Payment instructions and options are found on the auction site.

Auction items can be picked up during school hours at DCA by contacting Deleen Cooper at dcooper@dcawildcats.org or 615-577-1203 to schedule a time.  The trees can be broken down and placed in their original packaging or can be wrapped as they currently stand. Pickup can be scheduled anytime between December 11 and the last day of school on December 18 (Dec. 16-18 the school is only open until 12:00 p.m.).
